Confessions of a Technophobe

There are days I simply don’t like being on line.

The rest of the time I absolutely hate time spent on the internet. It is becoming to many a virtual prison.

Today was no exception.

A late morning call asking whether I wanted to spend the afternoon at our rifle and pistol club got a one word response, “YEAH”!!!

Won’t bore you with the details but I shot the heck out of two pistols trying to decide which to compete with this weekend. Three hundred rounds later, can't decide.

I know that I am your basic technophobe….just don’t trust nor do I wish to rely extensively on the technology available to each and every one of us. It seems to alienate man from his fellow…it is too easy to hide behind our online identity, pretending to be something we are not.

There is an element dishonest behind the whole thing.

Technology marches on. I’m slowly dropping out.

Yours truly would rather interact with real people and can live without the flood of information that is overwhelming us.

G’night.
