A VIDEO MOST FRIGHTENING
from
LEW ROCKWELL
from
LEW ROCKWELL
Lew Rockwell’s newsletter was particularly engaging this morning. I spent the time it takes to sip two cups of coffee reading several excellent articles.
But the thing that demanded most of my attention was a rather lengthy video featuring a single individual, an economist named Marc Faber, giving chapter and verse about everything the Federal Reserve, our government, and the governments of Europe and other sections of the world’s economy are not doing to fend off a global collapse.
It will take a little time to listen to. I had to replay several segments to follow Faber’s reasoning. But here it is without further comment except that Faber did a first rate job in presenting his case.
You can access the talk here: http://www.lewrockwell.com/faber/faber67.1.html It’s called “The Coming Economic Catastrophe: We ain't seen nothin' yet, says Marc Faber at the Mises Circle on Austrian economics and finance”

I'M
BAAAAAAAACK
BAAAAAAAACK
Not that I went anywhere, you understand.
The last few days have been busy with Newsletter writing, separate from this b'log,
Once a month I have to settle down for two or three days and devote my spare time to writing/editing THE BULLET, the official organ of THE MARION ROAD GUN CLUB, an organization that has been a big part of my life for thirty-four, almost thirty-five years.
But now....it's back to the old B'log. The first article will be coming at you soon. It's a beauty.....should scare the pants of anyone with most of his dough in the stock markets.
Until then,
Ciao

Is The DOW Heading For 6400 in the near future?
”A bigger meltdown than the credit crisis? Yes, Bush's team drove America into a ditch. But now Obama and his money men, Summers, Geithner, Bernanke, are digging the hole deeper. Soros says we have not learned "the lessons that markets are inherently unstable." As a result, "the success in bailing out the system on the previous occasion led to a super-bubble." Now "we are facing a yet larger bubble." Worse than 2008?”
Unless you have been in a coma for the past several days, you most likely know that the world’s stock markets have been sinking rapidly. The DOW dove past the 10,000 benchmark yesterday to close at 9,974.45. Given the volatility of the market short term, that could jump by hundreds of points within a single day, but it might just as well sink by a similar amount given more bad news from the EU, especially the debt ridden nations of Greece and Portugal.
Overheard in the congressional men’s room, “Is Big O. planning to pull us out of the financial screw-up with another war (Iran)? Two wars (Iran and Korea?) Worked for Roosevelt!!”
That’s all we need: a four-front war. Plus an immigration conflict on our Southernmost border. But boy look at the economy skyrocket just as it did in 1914 and again in 1939. War glorious war…..banking house investors laughing up their sleeves all the way to their Swiss accounts.
War isn’t the point of a hard-hitting essay by Paul Farrell, the declining world (and American) economy is. It’s titled “Warning: Crash Dead Ahead. Sell. Get Liquid. Now.” And can be directly accessed at http://www.lewrockwell.com/spl2/crash-dead-ahead.html It appeared in LEW ROCKWELL dot COM this morning and got my creeping to a slow boil.
For months I have been reading that the Obama Stock Miracle is heading for a bust, a big bust. The primary reason cited is a staggering debt that seems to grow with every page on O’s teleprompter.
I really don’t think he can blame Mr. Bush anymore.
The subject is complex. I thought I understood economics when I took an introductory course from professor A to Z (Alexandrovitz) back in the late fifties. I didn’t. Don’t today, either. But things like massive debt, purchasing of American bonds and real estate by the richer nations of the world, a decline in the purchasing power of the average American all spell trouble.
Had to read Mr. Farrell’s article twice. You’re probably smarter than I so you can digest it inwardly at a single sitting.
So please read it. It will help you get to the point where you, too, can shout out your living room window, “I’M madder than hell and I won’t take it any more.” Yours truly will love the company.
Ciao.

GUARDIAN ANGELS DO BATTLE WITH CRIME IN SAVANNAH
Like it or not, the clean-cut, red garbed 'Guardian ANgels' are fighting crime in Savannah, Georgia.
A link sent in by Macon's very own most popular denizen, Newton Collier, tells of these brave young men (and women?), volunteers, unarmed, who head straight into trouble in troubled urban areas cooling down situations all in the name of law, order, decency, and public safety.
Would this work in Macon? It has in places as blighted centers such as Philadelphia, that city of brotherly love, and other urban high crime areas.
Probably not if only because 'we've never done it that way before'. Our city/county governments would get confused and invite The Hells Angels to come in due to a simple mistake or an inability to comprehend which seems to lie deep within the brains of our elected local pols.

Juan and Juanita; Tariq and Hassan
Wonder What’s Coming Our Way From
SOUTH OF THE BORDER?
SOUTH OF THE BORDER?
As a rule, I am not a big fan of what passes for investigative reportage in the world of modern television.
Here is an exception and it is ALMOST LOCAL, coming from WSB TV out of Atlanta.
What follows are two video clips, taken by a team of video reporters who sought to find out who is actually infiltrating our southern border.
The lessons learned should scare the pants off you. And, please remember, the federal government is not doing much of anything about the potential for death to Americans seeping across the Mexican border each day along with large numbers of ‘Juan and Juanita average’ illegal.
Click on and let your blood boil.

A CONGRESSMAN ANSWERS MEXICO'S CALDERON
RIGHT ON!!!!!
RIGHT ON!!!!!
Not all of our Government's highest officials have spent the last few days kissing the buttocks of Mexico's President Calderon.
Many of us have been incensed by the intrusion into our domestic affairs by a man who is the nominal head of a state dominated by armed criminals and drug cartels.
Here is a great little speech....on the floor of the House of Representatives....delivered by Representative McClintock of California in answer to the trash talk spewed by the Mexican shortly before.
A great video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JDo36xPYgE&feature=topvideos

College Football and Academic Standards
Bubba was a giant of a lad who had led his small, south Georgia high school to three consecutive state class A championships. He was awarded the MVP trophy in both his junior and senior years.
At 230 solid pounds and with the instincts of a bird of prey he was heavily recruited by colleges from all over the nation. In the end he cast his lot with the flagship University of Georgia and ended up in the north Georgia city of Athens, culture shock for the likes of this genial, small-town bumpkin.
The coaching staff red-shirted the kid during his freshman year building up the strength and size of his body and spending thousand of dollars on tutors, academic coaches, learning labs and old fashioned jaw boning to enhance his mind.. Bubba, you see, was as limited in the classroom as he was gifted on the field of play. College coaches can be intimidating to a young teacher whose aim in life is to obtain tenure from a grudging administration. It is not generally known outside the athletic department but the method of arm-twisting has reached a point of perfection envied by both oriental torture practitioners and the Israeli Mossad. It at least ranks very near a ranking Mafioso’s Kiss of Death, or the legendary knee-capping practiced by the IRA.
As a twenty-year old Sophomre Bubba was expected to play. And play he did, leading Georgia to an excellent half season. However, before the all-important Georgia-Florida game, billed as the largest cocktail party in the world’, the boy’s English instructor informed the head coach that he had flunked his mid-term exam and would receive an “F”, rendering him ineligible to compete.
A hurried conference followed.
“Can’t you give him a re-test,” moaned the coach?
“Please,” chimed in the optimistic youngster, his gentle, brown eyes brimming with tears, “I just gotta play against Florida.”
“O.K.,” said the docent, anticipating a splendid reward for his labors, “Tell you what I can do.”
“I am going to give Bubba one everyday English word to spell. Just one. Now if he can get a single letter correct in this word, I will erase the F, convert it to a C and he can play all day against Florida.”
“Thank you,” said the coach, “That sounds fair”.
The teacher went on: “Bubba here is the word I want you to spell. It’s COFFEE, the stuff most Americans drink for breakfast.
A large grin crossed the boy’s face. “I can do this,” he thought.
Pausing for several seconds he finally blurted out: “K A U P H Y”
“Close enough”, chimed in the instructor.
“Only missed it by one letter,” said the coach.
Bubba now plays for the New England Patriots and hates the cold weather.

HUMOUR FROM NEAL BOORTZ
(And It's Clean, Too) T
(And It's Clean, Too)
Bubba Knows EveryoneBubba was bragging to his boss one day, "You know, I know everyone there is to know. Just name someone, anyone, and I know them."
Tired of his boasting, his boss called his bluff, "OK, Bubba how about Tom Cruise?"
"Sure, yes, Tom and I are old friends, and I can prove it. " So Bubba and his boss fly out to Hollywood and knock on Tom Cruise's door, and sure enough, Tom Cruise shouts, "Bubba! Great to see you! You and your friend come right in and join me for lunch!"
Although impressed, Bubba's boss is still skeptical. After they leave Cruise's house, he tells Bubba that he thinks Bubba's knowing Cruise was just lucky.
"No, no, just name anyone else," Bubba says.
"President Clinton," his boss quickly retorts.
"Yes," Bubba says, "I know him, let's fly out to Washington."
And off they go. At the White House, Clinton spots Bubba on the tour and motions him and his boss over, saying, "Bubba, what a surprise, I was just on my way to a meeting, but you and your friend come on in and let's have a cup of coffee first and catch up."
Well, the boss is very shaken by now, but still not totally convinced.
After they leave the White house grounds, he expresses his doubts to Bubba, who again implores him to name anyone else.
"The Pope," his boss replies. "Sure!" says Bubba. "My folks are from Poland, and I've known the Pope a long time."
So off they fly to Rome. Bubba and his boss are assembled with the masses in Vatican Square when Bubba says, "This will never work. I can't catch the Pope's eye among all these people. Tell you what, I know all the guards so let me just go upstairs and I'll come out on the balcony with the Pope." And he disappears into the crowd headed toward the Vatican.
Sure enough, half an hour later Bubba emerges with the Pope on the balcony. But by the time Bubba returns, he finds that his boss has had a heart attack and is surrounded by paramedics.
Working his way to his boss' side, Bubba asks him, "What happened?"
His boss looks up and says, "I was doing fine until you and the Pope came out on the balcony and the man next to me said, "Who's that on the balcony with Bubba?"

An Obama Endorsement
the new
KISS OF DEATH
the new
KISS OF DEATH
”As Specter tanked, Obama couldn't be found in the Keystone State. He and his handlers didn't want to risk more embarrassment after Obama campaigned for losing gubernatorial candidates in New Jersey and Virginia and couldn't keep state Senator Scott Brown from claiming Ted Kennedy’s seat.”
The cuffing received by Establishment politicians of both major parties in yesterday’s primaries is big news across the media spectrum today.
Hail Rand Paul; Good riddance to Senator Specter!!!
Here is an article from the NEW YORK POST I found on Drudge. Pretty much gives the facts about Arlen Specter’s grand defeat without the smoke and mirrors of unconscionable spin.
The article can be accessed directly here: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2010/05/19/2010-05-19_10_proving_bad_time_for_dems_bam.html
The Obama endorsement is only a figurative ‘kiss of death’. The un-nuanced reality is his ‘hug of death’.
I don’t think of Specter as a ‘traitor’ to the GOP or a ‘turncoat’, for, I too have renounced my Republican background. I do consider him as something of a weasel, who thought more of his own position than he did for the well being of his state or the nation.

THE REPORT THAT MIKE ADAMS WAS GONE FROM TOWNHALL SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN AN EGREGIOUS ERROR
”The reason for the over-reaction was simple: Muslims were involved. Liberals do not hate Muslims like they hate conservative Christians. They fear Muslims and are so preoccupied with their fear of Muslims that they never get to the point of hating them.”
When Mike Adams wrote what he suggested was his last TOWNHALL column, we sadly penned his virtual obit one day last week. But here he is again, full of piss and vinegar, tilting at the windmills of political correctness, and taking on the moronic mindset of modern academe.
Today he comes roaring back with a hard-hitting piece which skewers limp-wristed campus liberals who fear (radical) Muslims so much that they dare not utter a single criticism of them or their murderous actions. This is much like Atty. General Holder who could not bring himself to suggest under oath that Radical Muslims might be among those who have committed acts of terrorism against The United States.
His case in point is Kent State’s uber radical Muslim professor Julio Pino who “disseminates bomb-making instructions, encourages children to engage in suicide bombings, and generally displays his love of violence in a very public manner”.
Good stuff from our favorite gun-tottin’, conservative academic. The name of the article is “ISLAMOPHOBIA IS A SOCIAL DISEASE” and you may access it directly at: http://townhall.com/columnists/MikeAdams/2010/05/18/islamophobia_is_a_social_disease
Please do. It is a great first read on a Tuesday Morning.

But I suppose we will soon learn that the young man was planning on getting his GED and joining a church.

”WE’RE ALL MAD HERE”
’Sir’ Charles Richardson, he of THE MACON TELEGRAPH and talk radio’s MIX IN THE MORNING, penned a most excellent lead editorial yesterday dealing with the tragedy of errors facing the Bibb County school system.
For those not from here, our acting superintended has just had her teaching credentials taken away by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission and was immediately rehired by the local BOE to continue to lead us into temptation, undelivered from evil.
A warning to businesses wanting to settle in Bibb: OUR SCHOOL SYSTEM IS ONE OF THE VERY WORST IN THE ENTIRE NATION. As the kids would say, “WE SUCK”. And surely we do. There is no end in sight.
I urge that you read Sir Charles’ editorial. Access it directly here: http://www.macon.com/2010/05/16/1128801/down-the-rabbit-hole-with-the.html It’s titled “DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE WITH THE BIBB BOE”.
What’s of particular interest this morning is that a couple of folks commenting on the editorial suggested that Mr. Richardson himself take over the schools. It was discussed briefly on MIX IN THE MORNING a short time ago (early Monday AM).
Before the broadcast I wrote the good sage saying:
“Charles,
Yesterday's editorial was so good, that a couple of your fans writing in the T'GRAPH's sacred comments segments are pushing you to take over the Bibb Schools as superintendent.
Any Comment?”
He replied tersely: “I would do it. Heads would roll.”
Good for you. Now let us all get enraged at what is not happening in our schools.

KILL THE GRINGO!!!
Upcoming Race War Film???
Upcoming Race War Film???
The Robert Rodriguez film, “MACHETE” is scheduled for release in September.
There is a strong suggestion that it might actuall be a race film, inciting deadly conflict between white Americans in the American Southwest and Latinos. In this flic, the Latinos are the good guys; Anglos, evil incarnate. A black/white division of good and evil.
Kinda of reminds us of some of the Hitler propaganda films of the 1930’s.
We found a video clip and an article containing video clips that help explain what may soon become a hate-filled phenomenon: The clip from You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9tIoJBhp18&feature=topvideos
The article found on Drudge: http://www.infowars.com/racist-film-machete-produced-with-taxpayer-funds
We do not yet have an opinion on the accuracy of either the video or the article. We shall return to this subject just as soon as we learn more.

Speaking Of Houston:

KEEPING THINGS STIRRED UP IN HOUSTON, TX
CHRIS KROK IS ALIVE AND WELL
KEEPING THINGS STIRRED UP IN HOUSTON, TX
TO ALL THOSE WHO THINK THEY HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH KROK’S being eviced from local talk radio:
First off, you are sadly mistaken. Our former WMAC morning Shock Jock has landed on his feet and is keeping alive the irreverent traditions he displayed here in Maconga.
One of his current projects is to find out the truth to allegations of cover up and cowardice on behalf of the police chief of Arlington, a town not from the BIG-D.
It would seem that a number of Arlington’s men in blue were subjected to profanity to the extreme, threats, bullying, and intimidation by a group of residents who resented the intrusion of the officers within their profane precincts. We are told not one of the vulgar, cop-bashing yo-yo’s was subsequently apprehended.
Below is the text of an email sent in by a mutual friend, containing two links. The first is to Mr. Krok’s blog which reproduces the letter sent out to police personnel by the chief. The second is an eight minute video taken by a member of the crowd claiming ‘harassment’ on the part of the officers, where the harassment comes entirely from the rowdy by-standers.
This video contains a great deal of foul language so keep the kids away, but it is nothing more or less than what we hear on the street by area eleven-year-olds.

Is Good For Breakfast
BUT NOT ON THIS B'LOG
For some reason I am seeing a huge uptic of folks signing onto this b'log.
While diversity is welcome and the goodness of the human heart is expected, spamming herein is not allowed.
I try to anticipate those who would spam us and simply delete their names before they can be approved. But some get through and I wake up once or twice a week to to a b'log entry two or three years old with the idiot's website writ large. That person becomes forever banned and his entry sent into the wild blue ether.
So don't spam. Period. NO SPAMMING ALLOWED on this b'log.
A mighty big change in the appearance and quality of the basic b'log program is anticipated in the near future. At that point spammers will be subject to public humiliation so extreme it will render them forever useless as members of the human race. They will be, in a word, better off dead.
This is a word to the wise. We will deal with the stupid later.

Of MIKE ADAMS, FREE SPEECH and CENSORSHIP
AND THE ROLE OF THE GADFLY
AND THE ROLE OF THE GADFLY
”As you are surfing the Internet this morning, I am in a car driving west somewhere between the Appalachian and Rocky Mountains. The particular column you are reading right now is the 639th I have written since I became a columnist for Townhall in September of 2003. It will also be my last.”
I awoke this morning to the shocking news that my favorite academic-based columnist-conservative-gun-owning-professor was hanging it up. Mike Adams, in this morning’s TOWNHALL dot COM newsletter informs us that he has written his final column and this is it.
Sad, if true. What it means is simply that our loudest voice of reason amid the strident cacophony of politically correct higher academe will now be silent.
In today’s column (http://townhall.com/columnists/MikeAdams/2010/05/12/chapter_639_conclusion ) Professor Adams recounts his ongoing problems with the administration at UNC-Wilmington, where his outspoken Townhall columns and his opposition to shrill feminism, gay, lesbian, and transgender organizations have landed him in hot, legal water.
He is clearly being denied his right of free expression when the University, under its head harpy, Chancellor Rosemary DePaolo, takes the position that Mike’s columns, written separate and apart from his university duties, are really included within his professorial responsibilities which subjects him to a certain kind of censorship. One lower court has agreed with the University.
Confused? Me, too, until I reread the second half of this fascinating piece. Strongly urge that you spend a little time with this most telling document. Here we have a single teacher brave enough to play the gadfly game with a powerful administration seeking to marginalize him and continue business as usual in the realm of political correctness gone wild.
‘Gadfly’? That’s what Socrates said of himself that he was a horsefly biting the complacent ass of the Athenian body politic. Socrates won in the court of public opinion over twenty-five hundred years, but was forced to end his life by that same body politic.
Careful Mike!!!

An interesting article in this morning's MACON TELEGRAPH tells the sad tale of a pair of gospel singers turned burglar.
Seems that the dynamic duo would rob churches of electronic equipment shortly after performing in them as part of a gospel music group devoted, presumably, to playin' and prayin' for the Lord.
Wow...to be able to case the joint, mark any instruments worth stealing, check out the security and points of easy entry at leisure and before the heist make the crime so appealing to somebody with more thug in him than Jesus.
At least one reader suggests that the Lord will deal with these clowns in the fullness of time. But before them, the long arm of the law should mete out appropriate retribution and restitution.
Read it here: http://www.macon.com/2010/05/11/1123791/musicians-arrested-in-church-break.html Article by she who has been called 'the most trusted journalist in Middle Georgia', Liz Fabian.

All day long I have not been able to get this incredible performance out of my mind. Seems like I have been humming or singing it all over Macon. Some of my neighbors think I have lost what little mind left to me.
CBS News did a nice little piece about the great lady this evening.
AMazing stuff. Hope you enjoy the clip as much as I.

LENA HORNE DEAD AT 92
Yhe word 'legendary' did not do this grand lady justice.
She was one of a kind, she, a grande dame of of American music, songstress, actress, activist in an era when the likes of Ms Horne, Ella Fitzgewrald, Cab Calloway and other greats ranked high on the charts of American culture. popular culture.
Wen I was a small child our home was filled with music, this in the era of AM radio only, no TV, and 78 RPM records. It was Saturday afternoon opera broadcasts coming through the massive Stromberg-Carleson radio in the living room, and records, hundreds of them worth their weight in gold now, played at Pop's pleasure whenever the mood struck him as it often did. Lena Horne STORMY WEATHER was a frequent visitor.
Gone is the golden voice, the sultry tone, the luscious delivery that melted the heart of men all over including a five-year-old me.
Rest in peace, Lena, Silent forever is thew brass in that Horne.

WILL HERMAN CAIN RUN FOR PRESIDENT IN 2012?
Got the following email from Maurice Atkinson, my favorite local politician, about his dear friend Herman Cain, my favorite politician on any higher level,.
Read the links....then, if Herman runs, we will have more than a little fun. I will support Mr. Cain in any endeavor he undertakes.
Personally I would like to see the man take over our mayor's office and kick some local a$$.

UPDATE
Renewing A Georgia Carry Permit
FINGERPRINTS
OCTOGENARIAN CRIME WAVE
Renewing A Georgia Carry Permit
FINGERPRINTS
OCTOGENARIAN CRIME WAVE
I had a little extra time this morning, so I took the plunge and renewed my Georgia Firearms Carry Permit.
Things went just as I thought they would….until it came time for fingerprinting. I had guessed right….Bibb County has switched to the electronic version. But there was a hitch, a hitch that cost me half the morning.
I learned something. As we age, our prints grow dimmer and dimmer….no idea why. But at seventy-one, mine are barely visible to the electronic scanner. But finally, in the fullness of time, my prints were duly recorded and sent off to the GBI, the FBI, NCIS, and the department of homegrown terrorism, or whatever it’s called. I should get the form back in two to four weeks.
So, here’s an idea for all you incipient criminals out there. Don’t even try it when you are young. Get a job. Get an education. Get both.
But if you wait a while, say until age eighty-five, then take up your life of crime, your raping and pillaging, your heists and your rips-off, with virtually no fingerprints on your person, you stand a much better chance of getting away with that all-consuming ‘perfect crime’.
Can’t you imagine robbing a bank and making your getaway with your walker or in a wheelchair.
Wow!!!! What a rush!!!

RENEWING YOUR CARRY PERMIT IN BIBB COUNTY, GEORGIA/BIG>
It took me four months to get my concealed carry firearm permit five years ago.
As I have to renew later this month, I called the Probate Court a few days ago to see what has changed during the intervening years. Here is what I learned.
This time they want cash: $61.00 dollars, to be exact, no fifty-dollar bills.
We have to go through the process of filling out paperwork and getting fingerprinted. One day they will most likely require a picture as part of the I.D., but not yet. Every other time I have gone through the process, the prints were done in messy, black ink which takes days to completely vanish. By now even our backward county probably has an electronic fingerprinting system…let’s hope so.
Turnaround time, the nice lady told me a month or less. That’s great. We can only wait and see.
Anybody living in the Peach State should join GEORGIA CARRY dot ORG, which is the grass-roots group that is changing the laws of Georgia in regards to our gun rights. It is the best fifteen bucks a year any of us can ever spend to preserve our rights as guaranteed under the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution. Visit: georgiacarry.org
Unlike the NRA, Georgia Carry works only within our state, has a number of pro-gun volunteer lawyers doing the heavy lifting, and does not sollicit monies on a regular basis.

HUMO(U)R
in the
EARLY MORNING
in the
EARLY MORNING
This sent in by a reader in Beantown where potaable H2O is hard to get these days, or so I hear:
under a helicopter. ten men and one woman.
The rope was not strong enough to carry them
all, so they decided that one had to leave,
because otherwise they were all going to fall.
They weren't able to choose that person,
until the woman gave a very touching speech.
She said that she would voluntarily let go of the rope,
because, as a woman, she was used to giving up
everything for her husband and kids or for men in general, and
was used to always making sacrifices with little in return.
As soon as she finished her speech,
all the men started clapping ..".

CONFESSIONS OF A SERIAL (RACIAL) PROFILER
I admit it. Right here and under full public scrutiny. I am, and I say this with all the pride that comes with more than a modicum of common sense, a racial profiler.
And a religious profiler.
And a profiler of nationalities.
And a profiler of stupidity.
The list goes on.
Right now I am looking for two brown mutts who savaged a poor, half-grown cat that had taken up in my back yard. They are brown, mongrels (‘mixed breed’ is too politically correct), 45 to 60 pounds, probably part shepherd, part yellow lad…mutts. I plan to kill them unless the animal control trap catches them first.
The other day I was searching for five black teens, ages thirteen to sixteen, threatening a near-by resident with bodily harm. Had they been located, they would have been identified to the Macon Police Department dispatcher as just what they were.
Just the other day a mustached chap got into a altercation with a fellow I know down at the local Kroger. He wore a light brown silk shirt top two buttons open disclosing a thick chest rug, designer off-brown pants, lots of flashy jewelry from ring to bling. He spoke a more cultured level of Spanish, higher than Pedro-come-lately who just hopped the Rio Grande, carried a brace of bottles marked “Mojito Mix”, and sported a large button which proclaimed “I HEART FIDEL”. He left the area in a hurry. I told the responding policeman to look for a ‘Cuban’, for so he was profiled.
I profile, you profile, we all profile. Law enforcement personnel sure as hell better profile. When did profiling become a bad thing? It is a necessary tool in our struggle with MUSLIM, frequently ARAB TERRORISTS who would kill us and often have.
Mexican nationals control Mexican drug cartels. Should we look for Germans?
A Catholic clergyman who has taken a vow of celibacy and gets too chummy with pre-pubescent altar boys might be a pedophile, eh?
The thief who preens and smiles at the security camera might be a moron.
Give me a break.

ONE MAN’S OPINION ON IMMIGRATION
Way back about 1947 or ’48, my Mother, a native Canadian, worked hard to pass a no-nonsense examination and earned the rights and responsibilities of Citizenship in the U.S.A.
She was proud of that. We kids were proud of her. Mother and Dad had a special meal (cooked by her, of course….woman’s lib had not been discovered yet) and split a bottle of champagne. It was a glorious night for our little family.
The path to citizenship is much easier these days. That’s a damn shame. Becoming an American was something to be very, very proud of. It should require some hard work and, perhaps, a little jumping through bureaucratic hoops.
We have an estimated twelve million ILLEGALS in this country at last guess. They no more ‘deserve’ blanket amnesty than my cats ‘deserve’ caviar for every breakfast. They broke the law to get here. They are, by virtue of their entry, criminals. Minor criminals, most of them, but criminals nontheless.
The Federal Government has done virtually nothing to stem the flow (flood?) of these people. So Arizona passed a law….and that state is doing exactly the right thing.
Forget the pandering, the posturing, and the mass marches. Until the Fed does what it should do and create a sane way to deal with our illegals, more states should adopt Arizona’s tactics and make it tough for those who have no right to be in the country usually to hide in plain sight.
Citizenship? Sure, but let them earn it. By the way, we need a formula to deal with employers who are hiring our unwanted illegals.
